Capstan Tables

Just a quick one today; I'm spending less time on my website while I enjoy half term. I wanted to show off an amazing piece of engineering: the Capstan table. It is named after a capstan which is the part of a ship that you turn to pull up the anchor as pictured below:

A Nautical Capstan

The table itself is circular, but is designed to get bigger when you turn it. In keeping with their nautical namesakes they are often used on yachts where space is at a premium. Enjoy: 

Absolutely mesmerising. It's a pity they cost upwards of £25,000.
